Research Group in Practical Philosophy and the Great Tradition

The research area of the Research Group in Practical Philosophy and the Great Tradition consists of two parts. First, it is interested in questions within the disciplinary framework of practical philosophy, understood in the traditional, Aristotelian sense (moral philosophy, political philosophy, social theory, aesthetics, and rhetoric). Second, it is engaged in researches into the European reception of ancient and Christian philosophical thought, with a special focus on the late medieval and early modern period, and also prioritizing the practical philosophical fields of the great tradition. |
